This is a rare species of Garnet and when you start seeing Garnet in green colours you know it’s rare.

A very unique untreated ,spearmint green that is just full of dispersion.

One of the much rarer varieties in the garnet group, Mali garnet is a blend of grossular and andradite. Discovered in 1994 in Mali (still its only known source), this gemstone has great brilliance and a high dispersion. Its colors range from almost tsavorite green to yellow-green, yellow, gold, and brown. The rarer of the colour range is green and yellow.

The Mali garnet displays a rarely seen spearmint green colour throughout the entire gemstone. Its refractive index overlaps that of sapphire and because of its andradite content it has high dispersion, similar to that of demantoid garnet s.This makes it a very sparkly gem reminiscent of fancy colored diamonds.

A fantastic size in this species of Garnet, big sizes are seldom available.

This gemstone is 100% natural, this means it has had no treatment at all.

The cutting of this gemstone makes for a very dazzling and highly refractive natural pop of rare colour. If you’re familiar with species like sphene and zircon, this Mali garnet has just as much dispersion and fire.

It is not often that you will see anybody wearing a Mali Garnet. Typically garnets are thought of to be only red. This is simply not the case, from acid greens to vivid yellow orange purple pink and even colour change.
