Referenced in the Robert Heritage book on Royal  Copenhagen Animals and Figurines as "rare", this is the Royal Copenhagen seated Samoyed, model 977. Also referred to in the book as a White Spitz and first produced in 1908. The figurine depicts a very animated and happy dog in an alert seated pose. Very appealing! Fully hallmarked and of first quality.  Measures 6 7/8" tall by 6 1/2" long. From my personal Royal Copenhagen dog collection, this piece has been kept behind glass in a display cabinet since I purchased it in 1996. Perhaps dog fanciers will perceive this figurine as an American Eskimo - we will let collectors decide! No chips, cracks, repairs or restorations. Please enlarge and examine all photos carefully as they are considered part of the description. We also have other scarce and desirable dog figurines by Royal Copenhagen currently listed and are happy to combine shipping when safe for all objects.
