An exclusive vintage ROLEX you do not see every day! The acrylic glass original 36 Series were never made in SOLID ROSE GOLD by ROLEX. However, by special request from the Shah of Iran, few pieces were especially manufactured by Rolex by Royal Order. A beauty to wear, enjoy, or simply collect as investment. The original day-date was much more user friendly with its slightly thinner profile and overall balanced weight. The special ones ordered by the Shah of Iran were intended as gift to each of his Army Generals. The 1 unique piece we are selling here, to the best of our knowledge, is the only surviving one, in mint, like-new, condition. It's absolutely a day 1 looking beauty! Rolex Service Center in Beverly Hills confirmed that the 36 Series was made between 1972 and 1973, but never in Solid Rose Gold. The watch is over 45 years old, and it looks like it was purchased yesterday! Original genuine wood box, and green printed box are included (as shown).

In July of 1999, this unique watch was serviced, for the first time, at the official ROLEX SERVICE CENTER in Beverly Hills, California. This is when the history of this watch was pulled out! Originally purchased from an Iranian Watch Dealer, this unique and exclusive day-date was then sold brand-new; 1 owner only from new!
