"Take This Job And Shove It,"  was Johnny Paycheck's breakthrough single that rose to #1 on the charts and even lapsed into the Billboard "Pop" charts for a while.  It was unique and a very CATCHY song to everyone who wanted to say those words to the boss or the company they worked for.

Johnny's only other chart record was the follow-up:  "...Friend,  Don't Take Her - She's All I got."  which charted in the Top-10.

Released in 1973 when I was a country DJ in Louisville and got to interview Johnny backstage at the Ryman Auditorium and the Grand Ole Opry.

My father, Ken Kittinger (pictured)  was the premier gold & platinum awards maker in Nasvhille on Music Row for 50 years.
