Striking fine art print showing the Ferrari 250 GTO (chassis #3705GT) rounding Virage de Mulsanne in the early morning sun during the 1962 Le Mans 24 Hours race. Guichet and co-driver Pierre Noblet drove the car to a 2nd place overall finish, first in the GT class. Guichet had acquired the car new, and it was ready just in time for Le Mans.
The mint green GTO in the background (chassis #3505GT) was painted in the colors of Stirling Moss's UDT-Laystall race team, just before he suffered career-ending injuries at Goodwood in April 1962. Innes Ireland and Masten Gregory drove the car at Le Mans, but retired after 165 laps.
Matted in a high-quality white mat. Signed by the artist, Jan Rambousek, and numbered in a limited edition of 150.
This print is absolutely beautifully rendered in richly colored inks on a substantial Hahnemuhle Baryta stock, combining features from—and the feeling of—fine photography, painting, and 3-D digital graphics into a unique presentation that truly brings the scene to life.
