On offer is a striking antique picture frame dating to the Victorian era. The carcass of the frame is made of wood with ornate detailing applied in gesso. The gesso is finished with a smooth faux woodgrain effect that is reddish in colour. It has some general signs of wear to the finish and would make a characterful decorative piece. Ideal for framing a mirror, painting, picture or similar. Please see the photos as we have tried to show the areas of wear. Overall, it presents well.
The overall size of the frame is 67cm x 47cm and the 'recess' at the back of the wooden frame that houses the picture or painting is approx 49.5cm x 30cm.
