Here we have a rare antique celluloid figural measuring tape from Germany featuring a winged creature on a red pillow cushion. We believe that it is a very early Billiken figure, but it could be a fairy, cherub or Cupid himself. We are told that this one "isn't in the Arbittier Morphy book." The measuring tape is within, including the end piece. The opening has thin, very stable cracks in the area -- even so, the area is solid, and doesn't sag or move when touched. Last photos show a listing from ebay in 2019 with more information and sales results. We have many more cool miniature vintage and antique pieces in our store, to which we add new inventory daily, and we're always happy to combine shipping at actual cost.

ConditionOur photographs reveal the condition best -- please enlarge and zoom in on them, and examine them carefully. Some light soiling to the surface, nothing that can be felt, and definitely nothing that is sticky or otherwise disgusting. Very clean and fresh piece to the touch. Light surface wear. Paint is 99.95% present. Cracks in area around opening, as stated above. Measuring tape end has been pulled back within the piece. Sits well, with no wobbling.

We consider funky odors (cigarette smoke, mildew, etc) to be an important part of a condition report. Corndogcache is a 100% non-smoking environment, and we'll let you know if any of our vintage items smell like it (or anything else) from activities they may have been involved in before they came to us.
