EMPTY Vintage Handkerchief Box, beautiful vibrant colours depicting a red squirrel with baby in basket surrounded by birds and blossom. A very sweet picture taken from an illustration by Helen Haywood, a children’s illustrator. I think it would be around 1940s, maybe 50s. (So I assume the box originally contained children’s handkerchiefs)

Cardboard does show some damage from age and storage, but still a great piece and could easily be repaired. One edge has split away at sides but still intact, maybe a little tape would do it.
