Islamic Mamluk Period 15-16th Century Syrian Cobalt Blue and White Ceramic Vase
Beautiful dark cobalt blue decoration
About 10 1/4" tall
About 1.625 kg in weight
Not many of these exist because they are very fragile and were made 500 plus year ago.
This one is covered in cracks to the glaze on the inside and outside. There is also at least one crack to the body horizontal in direction above the base, and below the decoration. This goes through the body and is visible on both sides. Various chips etc around the mouth and base.
