THIS IS A 2-PIECE SUIT THAT CONSISTS OF ONE JACKET AND ONE PAIR OF PANTS
You are laying eyes upon the Holy Grail of vintage western suits. I worked for over a decade at vintage clothing store back in the 1990’s and cherry-picked everything that came through the door for my own closet. Even back then suits like this were exceedingly rare. This is authentic gaberdine western wear from the 50’s in original condition with no alterations. It has hung untouched in my closet for the last 25 years. Finding a suit like this with good sized pants and a good sized jacket with long arms is a once in a lifetime occurrence. FIT: The jacket hangs past your waist to the upper/mid hip area (This style is not as long as a regular blazer) The trousers are a straight leg, not slim-cut or peg-legged. Important info:
vintage sizes run smaller than modern sizes so do not buy this without looking at the size diagrams that I included – see last 2 photos for measurements.CONDITION:• Trousers – Pristine inside and out. No water marks on the inside. Zipper works as it should.
• Jacket – The exterior is immaculate but the liner is discolored around the armhole and shoulder blade area from perspiration, par for course with all vintage suits lined with this specialty fabric. The liner is iridescent and shifts from chartreuse to salmon depending on the angle of the light, however, the areas affected by perspiration no longer shift to chartreuse and are a constant salmon color. The armpits took the brunt of it and are slightly lighter than the surrounding fabric. Close-up photos provided.
• The fabric of both the jacket and the pants is smooth and crisp with no piling, holes, worn areas, or stains. Cuffs are perfect as well.
• All snaps are present and are tight.
• I steamed this garment and it has zero unpleasant odors (no B.O., smoke, mildew, or otherwise)
• I went over this entire garment very carefully and found no other defects other than the discolored liner. If there is anything I missed it’s negligible.
