LIGHT LENS LAB M 50mm f/2 is a lens for Leica M mount cameras with brass barrel. This is the second reissue lens project by Chinese investor Mr. Zhou. Exterior design and optical performance are reminiscent of the 50mm f/2 ELCAN, which was made for military Leica.
The lens is a faithful reproduction of the original, with a "4-element, 4-group" configuration with no lamination, and the shape of the aperture ring control lever, one of the most distinctive features of the lens in terms of appearance. Image quality changes greatly in response to the aperture control, allowing photographers to enjoy the bokeh effect with some blurring when the aperture is wide open and the sharpness when the aperture is stopped down at the same time. Brass lens barrel and rugged design give the lens a massive appearance with a strong sense of presence, making it hard to believe that it is a reprinted lens.
