A lovely early example from 1850 (a re-press of the 1849 edition [1st edition being from 1844]). Very good condition hardback exterior with minor fade and handling damage to spine (but generally excellent for age), along with boards which have only minor markings from 170 year shelf life! Some rubbing to corners, but again, minor. Essentially devoid of foxing, with only minor sporadic examples (mainly first few pages). Otherwise interior is excellent and appears scarcely read.

All in all a rare example of an excellent early edition.
