Brussels is not the world’s most glamorous city, but it’s a place that designer David Szeto is more than happy to call home. “I feel quite disconnected,” says Szeto contentedly, having moved his operation to the Belgian capital from Paris two years ago. “It reminds me of growing up in Vancouver, when I used to daydream about big cities like New York. In a way, being on the periphery makes me more creative.”
