The CD is still in excellent condition. Unfortunately, a holder on the
cover flap of the CD case broke off. Otherwise the case is still in very

Information on musicians and album
k.d. lang Oc, Aoe (born November 2, 1961 as Kathryn Dawn Lang in Edmonton, Alberta) is a Canadian singer-songwriter who is at home in the country and pop area.
Lang grew up in the village of Consort in the Canadian province of Alberta. When she was twelve years old, her father left the family; To date, he refuses to contact her. After graduating from school, Lang moved to Edmonton for studying music; Later she lived in Vancouver. For years she lived in Los Angeles before moving to Portland in Oregon in late March 2012. Apart from her music, she attracted attention in 1990 when she was one of the first musicians of her time to live openly lesbian, as before with her commitment to a vegetarian way of life. Lang is practicing Buddhist.
Occupational and artistic work
The Canadian song author and musician with adopted home USA has a strong old voice. The reviewer Stephen Holden wrote in the New York Times 2004: "She balances her enthusiasm for the song material with humor, with which she lures a sparkling pleasure behind everything."
Lang developed a preference for country music in early youth, but initially had no concrete ambitions. During her music studies, she participated in a theater performance in which the singer Patsy CLINE was portrayed. Since she fascinated the life story and the music of the country star who died early, she decided to become a singer. With the friend Ben Mink friends, she founded the group "Re-Clines" named after her idol. In 1983 they produced a self -financed single. The album "Friday Dance Promenade" followed in the same year. With her next publication, "A Truly Western Experience" she had a breakthrough on the Canadian music market. In 1985 she received an award as a "Most Promising Female Vocalist" (most promising singer).
Lang gradually became known in the USA. In 1986 she signed a record contract with the "Sire label" in Nashville. Supervised by the producer Dave Edmunds, she played the album "Angel With A Lariat" in the same year. It received good reviews from both the rock and the country scene and was a commercial success, especially in Canada. The musician Roy Orbison chose her as a duet partner for recording his hits "crying". For her second album "Shadowland" she persuaded Owen Bradley, the former producer of Patsy CLINE. The album in the classic country style, in which several prominent guest stars participated, was awarded gold. A single release reached a medium-sized place in the country charts. In 1989 there was another country album with "Absolute Torch and Twang". In the same year she received a Grammy in the category best country singer. On July 29, 1988, she sang the final song "Turn Me Round" of the Winter Olympics in Calgary.
