Last King of America George III Coin Box Set w COA

King George III, reigning for a record 59 years from 1760, achieved popularity through victories in wars but faced American discontent, with the Founding Fathers considering him a tyrant. George III's obdurate policies, along with Prime Minister Lord North, led to the colonies declaring independence. Despite contemplating abdication after losing the colonies, George III faced bouts of madness in 1778, 1804, and the last ten years of his life, passing away in 1820 blind, deaf, and insane. The cause of his malady remains a mystery. This 1806-1807 copper half-penny, KM-662, displays the king's portrait and Britannia on the reverse, dating from a period marked by his initial mental health struggles.
