Here for sale is a fabulous 19th century gentleman's walking stick cane. The cane is in good condition with exceptions to an old break that had been re-glued years ago. The break measures approximately 7 inches in length from the top of the ferrule up. The ferrule measures 2 inches in length. There are some tiny spots of old white paint. The handle is gold filled, is of amazing quality featuring a pansy, and other decorations. Originally, there are area's where semi precious stones were set into the handle. Additionally, there are some numbers on the handle along with one hallmark which we could not figure out. See photo.This is one of the best above standard gentlemen's canes we've had in a while. Atop of the handle in the cartouche, is a inscription of the gentleman who owned this cane" G. W. Macker". We could not find any information about the owner but he must have been a distinguished gentleman. Please ask questions before purchasing.
