Individual LPs will always cost more to ship due to the cost of record mailers, inner sleeves and protective mylar sleeves. You will always get the best shipping value purchasing multi-record lots or titles in bulk.

Grading Standards

All titles are graded based on the Goldmine scale in the order you would open an LP: jacket first, then media.

Grade Description
M- (Mint Minus) No record is ever truly perfect. If an LP looks like it just came from a retail store, we grade Mint Minus. We only use this grade for NEW or SEALED records.
NM- (Near Mint Minus) If a jacket has been kept in its ORIGINAL SHRINKWRAP and is still undamaged by ring wear, we grade Near Mint Minus. This usually indicates the record and original inner sleeve have also been well cared-for over the years.
EX (Excellent) or EX- Excellent is the best grade for an open LP. An EX jacket has good color, no ring wear, spine reads well, corners are crisp, edges are not split. An EX LP looks new, with high gloss, bright label and few, if any visible marks.
VG+ (Very Good Plus) Very Good Plus is the high end of Very Good. A VG+ jacket has good color, little to no ring wear, minor issues with corners/edges/spine. May have hype stickers, price stickers, or residue. May have light marks, initials or other marks. May have promo stamps, stickers, cut-out notches or corner clips. A VG+ LP looks well cared for, with high gloss, bright label and any visible marks do not affect play.

Most LPs we sell are VG+ or better on the Goldmine scale and are worth $8-12 individually. Very rare or popular titles are worth considerably more.
VG (Very Good) Very Good is the default grade for a playable LP. A VG jacket will have some cosmetic damage which may include discoloration, ring wear, edge wear, spine wear, corner wear, tearing, creasing, split seams, or staining. A VG LP may be less glossy, have writing or stickers on the label, have visible scratches, marks or scuffs on the vinyl. These are not museum pieces, just good play copies.

Unless a title is very rare, we generally sell VG LPs for $4-6 individually. “Among the biggest bargains in record collecting,” according to Goldmine.
VG- (Very Good Minus) Very Good Minus indicates very heavy use, damage or wear. Very Good Minus jackets are only useful for display, collages, mixed media art or upcycling projects. Very Good Minus LPs should be considered unplayable (even if one side is VG+) and are best used for decor, art projects or upcycling.

We only sell VG- jackets and LPs in lots to artists.

We do not sell titles in less than Very Good Minus condition.
