The DFG24 BK is a highly designed model unique to Zemaitis with a disc-shaped aluminum alloy plate with engraved decoration placed in the center of the body.
The body and neck are both made of high-quality African mahogany, and the fingerboard is made of ebony.
It has a 635mm scale and is a medium jumbo size with 24 frets.
The pickups are three metal-covered Zemaitis Custom PAF-style humbuckers.
Each pickup has its own volume and master tone with CTS pots and a CRL 3-way pickup selector lever switch.
The middle pickup volume control doubles as a push/pull switch to turn the middle pickup on and off.
The middle pickup is turned on with the pull, but it does not produce a stand-alone tone, and the middle pickup is added to the neck or bridge pickup or both pickups.
The tone capacitor uses an orange drop.
Reliable Gotoh locking tuners are also used to ensure tuning stability.
A vertical ZEMAITIS logo plate is attached to the headstock instead of a diamond-shaped Z logo plate.
