This is a rare opportunity to get yourself a classic vintage 1970s Fender valve amp and matching speaker. It has stage presence, class and volume. Looks very much like McCartney is using in the Get Back film (that is prob a 75w tho)

Rated at 135w this has two channels - a bass and normal plus a master volume. You can use a jumper lead between the inputs to link the channels to blend.

The cab is actually a 'Bassman 50' but back in the 90s i took out the fender speakers and replaced them with a pair of 200w mackenzie 15" speakers. i do still have the original speakers available, see note below.

I have had this pair since 1996, it was gigged about once a month for 4 or 5 years and then every now and then until 2014 when i changed over to a combo. over the tears it has picked up a edge damage to the tolex but this is all pretty modest for what is a 45 year old rig. It has been stored inside always. I have swapped out the valves 2 or 3 times over the years, usually as part of a professional service from a professional. Valve glow currently looks pretty equal across the set.

The video shows there is some crackle on some of the pots when turned but this could easily be sorted with switch cleaner. in a static position there is no pot-noise. The sound range is wide for such a simple amp. I play post punk so this gave me lots of punch and snap to bass rhythms. I have also loaned the amp to a lead guitarist as a spare to his own which he uses with a massive FX rig as it adds no gain to the sound - just lots of volume.

Offers may be accepted and I may consider a split. the value is in the head though. It would be good to keep them together. This is a very heavy amp and speaker combination so postage is not realistic. Delivery in the north of England may be possible if you pay for the fuel.

- On the original speakers, photos are available. One may be original but the other is a 1980's emminence replacement.
