Since its introduction in 1959, the Wilshire has been one of the most successful solid-body electric guitars in the Epiphone product line, with its original design. The asymmetrical solid mahogany double cutaway body design ensures smooth fingering in the high position for the player. The neck is made of mahogany, the fingerboard is an Indian laurel fingerboard, and the grip shape is a comfortable-to-play 60s slim taper D profile. The headstock is designed in the famous "batwing" style and is equipped with Wilkinson six-row tuners with metal buttons. The electronics section features two U.S.-made Gibson Mini Humbuckers, wired to a CTS potentiometer, Switchcraft 3-way toggle switch, and 1/4 output jack. The included 150th Anniversary Historic Hardshell Case features the Epiphone 150th Anniversary logo.
