  • Have Pokémon that you don't want, ready for trade.
  • Understand how to Link Trade in Game (Steps Below)
    • Press the X button to open up the main menu.
    • Select Poke Portal. (IF YOU DON'T SEE IT, You must progress through the game a little bit to unlock it.)
    • Scroll down and select Link Trade.
    • Please make sure you are in ONLINE MODE - PRESS L to connect online.
    • Enter the number I send you.
    • Select Begin Searching.
