PREMIER ART DECO STERLING SILVER & 18K YELLOW GOLD BANDED CIGARETTE CASE
late 1920s product of James E. Blake Company (Attleboro, Mass)


Crafted by a premier American silversmith during the roaring 20s.  Rectangular form with rounded corners.  Cover and body pinstriped and inlaid with wide solid gold bands.  Block letter engraved monogram.  Push-tab opening on a quality flush six-knuckle hinge.  Spring-loaded bar secures contents in machined interior.  Top edge of cover stamped "STERLING & 18K" beside conjoined initial logo of James E. Blake Co.
