AWESOME "Original" FULL Ticket from January 16, 1972 EHL Hockey between the Long Island Ducks and Syracuse Blazers at the old Long Island or Commack Arena.

In addition to the full ticket comes a VERY RARE AUTOGRAPH of DECEASED former Long Island Ducks Player/Coach and EHL LEGEND from 1955-73 racking up a RECORD 4000 Penalty Minutes....JOHN BROPHY.

John Brophy signed a 4x6 blank index card (blue ink pen) with photo attached "To Jerry Best Wishes John Brophy".

Although it was disputed.....John Brophy was the inspiration for Slapshot's REG DUNLOP !!

The Ducks are most famously known for player-head coach John Brophy, who is believed to be the role model for Paul Newman's character of Reggie Dunlop in the movie Slap Shot. Brophy encouraged and epitomized "old-time hockey" and brash physical play, retired as the league's career leader in penalty minutes, and was once suspended for half of a season for knocking down a referee. Brophy was quoted as saying, "Once you're a Duck, you're a Duck for the rest of your life," as Ducks General Manager John Muckler traded Brophy six times and got him back seven times.

Original Ticket is in Ex+ condition and measures approximately 1-1/2" x 4".
