Antique vintage hand carved solid wood lion head figure with wooden ring

Finely carved, this is a stunning depiction of a lion head, carrying a ring in his mouth exposing his fangs and tongue.

Originally a furniture / panel decoration, at some point it has had a metal ring attached on the back for wall hanging.

Approx. dimensions - Head - 17cm H x 16.5cm W / Total height incl. ring 23cm / Weight 344g

In good condition with surface marks and wear associated with age and use. There has been a good solid repair at some stage as shown. This is not too noticeable from the front.

The items I sell are in a used antique or vintage condition. This means they may have related flaws or defects.
