You are bidding on a very
nice, gently used Maxxum 100-300mm (D)
This Alpha mount lens will
require an adapter for use with Sony E mount camera bodies.
This particular lens has
pristine glass. No scratches, marks or blemishes to the glass surfaces or
fungus inside and the aperture blades are clean and snappy.
Cosmetically, the exterior of
the lens has just a few scuffs on the barrel. The rubberized zoom and focus rings rotate smoothly, are clean and also
look new, as does the lens mount.
Beyond this lens is the
100-400/5.6-6.3
In comparison to the “non
(D)” version of the Minolta 100-300mm APO, this lens has a wider, more
substantive and easier to use focus ring. The lens seems to have a nicer heft
to it as well and the feel of the zoom and focus rotation is like a new lens on
this item, with a deliberate resistance.
Furthermore, with the
additional 3 electrical contacts on the lens mount, the ADI “advanced distance
integration” provides for more accurate flash exposure.
Caps and aftermarket hood included.
Minolta engineers employed a
“double tele-zoom system” in the construction of this lens, resulting in an
incredibly short and light lens with a 3 to 1 focal length range. Also included
is a “Focus Hold” button on the lens barrel, particularly useful at longer
focal lengths.
