NGC ( VF ) Roman AE of Constantius II (AD 337-361) GLADIATOR REVERSE
Constantius II, Fausta’s middle son, was the most ruthlessly efficient of the sons of Constantine. He was elevated to Caesar at age seven, and in 333 was given the city of Antioch. He chose the reverse of these coins to celebrate Rome's gladiatorial traditions for the 1100th anniversary of its founding.
