Delightful antique children's picture book of sheet music, verse and illustrations by the Rentoul sisters, published as a sequel to their highly successful Australian Songs for Young and Old. Words by Annie R. Rentoul, music by Georgette Peterson and incredibly charming illustrations by Ida Rentoul Outhwaite.

The eight verses with sheet music are: Bell Bird - Little Mia Mia - Kookaburra (Laughing Jackass) - Moonboat - Billy Tea - Way Back - Kangaroo Song - Fairy Fleet. Advert for two companion songbooks at rear. 

Oblong quarto, original red illustrated wrappers, string-bound. Full-page plates in black & white and other vignettes scattered throughout. Undated, but presumed 1910. Old ownership details across the top margin of the front cover. Wrappers a little marked and faded. Slight soiling and colour transfer to first and last pages. Binding secure, with no loose or missing pages. A good copy this rare and highly collectible title.
