Antique English Hammersley Hand Painted Fish Plate w Roses Artist Signed Plate B
This plate features 2 fish. A wispy green water background. The outer rim of the plate has an ivory band with soft blue scallops edged in gold. There are 4 panels of raised embossed florals with hand painted peach roses with dark orange centers to the roses. Lovely details and colors! Signed by the artist O. Eger in lower left corner.
Measures 9 inches diameter. No chips or cracks. Some light use marks but overall displays well and colors and detail are vibrant. Please see photos. The plate is marked on the back with the Hammersley & Co England mark used from 1912 to 1939. The plate also bears the R.H. Macy & Co. New York mark as the retailer that carried the plate.
