SOME GIRLS  The Rolling Stones  "COME BACK"  album,  released in 1978 after a long dry spell after 1972's  Exile on Main St.    Disco has taken over the airwaves,  and new groups like Aerosmith,  KISS  and others seem to have overshadowed the fading "British Invasion."   But critics raved about SOME GIRLS  and it set the Stones back on the path to another (??? - what???)  75 years of tours !!!      Of note was the fact that Ronnie Wood joined up and collaborated the album and now the Stones had 5 full-time members for the first time.  Another great motivator to put together a super winner.

THIS ITEM ALSO COMES WITH A FRAMED CONCERT POSTER FROM 1979 OF THE STONES' AMERICA  "SOME GIRLS"  TOUR LISTING ALL CITIES.  (SEE PHOTO)

By 2000,  the album had hit 6-million in U.S. sales and RIAA certified it with the 6X designation.  That's when Warner Brothers ordered a new award from my dad using the old Rolling Stones (original) revamped label to celebrate the new certification.   A very limited number were made and he always overproduced the number ordered for  "aftermarket"  requests from the record label company.  When he passed in 2016 at age 91 after 50 years in the music industry as the premier GOLD & PLATINUM awards maker,  I inherited his vast estate of one of the most extensive collections of music memorabilia ever amassed.  I sell these few remaining rare awards on ebay only,  but often see them auctioned for thousands of dollars at auction houses around the world.  Happy to provide you with links upon request.   For example,  the last album Elvis recorded before his death  (Today)  is still listed on my ebay listings for $159.  It recently sold on the Amsterdam  CATAWIKI auction for 4,100 Euros  ($5,066 U.S. DOLLARS)   Here's the link:
