The ANDY CAPP comic strip has been in print since August 5, 1957.  

It was created and originally illustrated by Reg Smythe and distributed

 by Creators Syndicate.  When Smythe died in 1998, Roger Kettle assumed 

writing duties and Roger Mahoney took over as artist.
