This Authentic, Now Obsolete Official Saleen Test Driver Program Mail Sent Only Box Set is offered up out of our SaleenDream Private Vault Collection and was a Limited Edition and Offered Box Set offered by Saleen in the past.
When The Saleen Store was located in Irvine, California, back in 2007, one of the tools they used to market the selling of the Awesome New Saleen Vehicles offered at that time was the Test Driver Program. What this was and what this required was for you to go into the Saleen Store located in Irvine, California where you would sign up, fill out paper work and then test drive one of their New Saleen vehicles and then later afterwards Saleen, in the mail would send you an Official Saleen Test Driver Program Box Kit, which was full of Saleen Sales Fold Open Brochures of each of the Saleen Models they were offering at that time, Saleen Test Driver Program Sheet, Saleen Vehicle Stats Sheet, Saleen Test Drivers Wanted Cards, a Special Saleen Test Driver Shirt in the size you wanted and Special Matching Saleen Test Driver Hat. Later we heard that Saleen started offering something similar through a select few Official Saleen Vehicles Offered Dealerships across the USA also from that same time era of the past.
When the Test Driver Program that The Saleen Store was offering back then started they had Offered the First Variation Design of the Test Driver Shirt and Test Driver Hat which was the Saleen "S" Logo and Tire tread marks as if the Logo was burning rubber. Some of Saleen Owners and Fans may remember that one? After Saleen burned out/through that first limited Edition design with their test drivers program offer, they came up with the second variation/type of the design, and that is what this Original Official Saleen Factory Test Driver Program kit has in it here. Although still acquired back in 2007, this is considered the second design Version/Variation and what the majority of the people that participated in the Test Driver Program got in the mail!

When Saleen first had this offer going at The Saleen Store, you had the option of test driving a New Saleen S281 Mustang, Saleen S281SC Mustang, Saleen S281 E Mustang, Saleen Parnelli Jones Edition Mustang and or a Saleen S331 Sport Truck, in the later part of that year and up through 2008, you still had options of driving the different vehicles, minus the Saleen Parnelli Jones Edition Mustang and it became dependent on what was on hand at The Saleen Store at that time. Seems like yesterday when this was occurring down the street from us and we were lucky enough to take part in the Saleen Test Driver Program, but here it's 17 years later!
The Test Driver Program was something Saleen did to promote the New Saleen Vehicles at that time and was a Great marketing tool as their production numbers on vehicles were up and so was the orders and selling of them till the Economy started to suffer and take a nose dive and the Saleen Store faded away/disappeared one day unfortunately!
This Unique Official Saleen Test Driver Program Box Kit has been part of our private collection and if you are a 2007-08 Saleen Mustang Owner out there this would be something very cool to keep with your ride since this offered program by Saleen was going on during those times of those year cars offered! Even if you own a different year Saleen vehicle, this still would be something awesome to have and the best part here is that it is complete, unused and all in excellent condition, with only the outer Saleen box showing wear only because it was originally sent through the mail back in 2007!
Again, this comes from our Private SaleenDream Vault Collection and is a very Rare Limited Edition Saleen Literature and Apparel Box Set collected from the Past! Most people who took part in the Saleen Test Driver Program, got this Boxed set and wore the shirt, wore the hat and filed the Saleen Sales brochures and tossed the sent Original Saleen Box. This is Complete like it was sent back in 2007 (AS SEEN).
