Vintage Edwardian postcard, showing a picture of the back of a rather grand cope at Douai Abbey.  The postcard has a stamp from Edward VII - it has been used as a rather grand acknowledgement of an order, placed with Louis Grosse, a Belgian vestment maker from Baker Street, London.  It is addressed to A. Clifton Kelway, Corringham Rectory, Stanford-le-Hope, Essex.  The card is dated (and postmarked) March 18th, 1909.

Condition:  Good used condition, over a century old but still easily legible. The card has been posted, and has some light scratches, but the picture is still beautiful, and it is an interesting (and rather upmarket!) sort of receipt.
