All Natural WALNUT INK STAIN
Water based, non-toxic stain made from actual walnut husks.   Only three ingredients: Walnut husks, water, and a small amount of grain alcohol as a preservative.
The ink stain is thin enough to be used to antique fabrics and paper without making them too dark.   But still gives a rich brown color to unfinished or sanded wood, as shown in photos that show the difference between the unfinished board, and the section that I applied the stain to and allowed it to dry.
The stain will only work on natural fibers like wood, cotton, leather, etc;  if you try to stain fabrics with polyester or other man made fibers, it will not work very well.   And it will wash out, so it is meant for use on items that are not going to be put in the washing machine.
If using on wood items that are going to be outside in the elements, a sealant will be needed.
Because the walnut husks have oils in them, when you first brush on the liquid, at first it may pool like it doesn't want to absorb, but just brush back and forth on it a few times, and it will start sinking in.   With fabric, I use the dip and then squeeze method, which gives it  a really nice mottled/aged look.   You can also use a spray bottle to apply it.
It should be shelf stable for a at least a couple of years, but I recommend using it within a year.  Refrigerating will extend shelf life.   Be sure to keep tightly sealed.
Very easy clean up, and cleans off skin with very little effort.
