Here we have a stunning, original, one-of-a-kind, contemporary ceramic sculpture by Peter Hayes (United Kingdom, b. 1946.) Signed (by Hayes) and dated (2002) on bottom. "Red Bow with Patinated Disk" stands approximately 9" x 9" x 4".  Hayes is influenced by nature, and his extensive travel in Africa, India, Japan and Korea has inspired him to work with clay in unique ways. Brochure and signed "Care of Your Ceramic Piece" comes with the sculpture. We have lots of vintage and antique art pottery in our store, to which we add new inventory daily, and we're always happy to combine shipping at actual cost. 

Condition: Our photographs reveal the condition best -- please enlarge and zoom in on them, and examine them carefully. Very clean and fresh piece, having been kept within a glass cabinet since purchase. Hayes' style is very organic, with surfaces having a good deal of texture and variation. As far as we can tell, the surface of this sculpture reflects the intended and desired variations and textures typical of this artist's works. We are unaware of any damage to the piece from actual use -- please view all 24 photos carefully to make sure that you agree before purchase, as we do not take returns. No chips, cracks or crazing. No stains or marks from use.
