Description:
This is a single loop finger ring bent wire corkscrew in William Crabb's 1886 patent and William Rockwell Clough's 1890 patent.  It was produced for the 400th anniversary of Columbus' discovery of the New World, for the exposition in Chicago intended to be held in 1892 but actually took place in 1893.

The sheath is marked:

"CLOUGH & MACONNELL, NEW YORK"
"CHICAGO 1893"

This item is vintage and is recommended for its vintage value, but not necessarily for actual usage.

Condition:
In VERY GOOD condition.  There is some loss of the metal plating to this 132 year old piece, but all print is legible and overall in excellent condition; item operates as intended.  Please see all photos for a complete description.
