Attention Charles Dickens Collectors!!!

You are bidding on a rare antique hardcover set of books titled Our Mutual Friend. By one of the most famous and beloved authors, Charles Dickens. This two volume set is from a very scarce publishing by MacDonald & Sons For The Edinburgh Society, Clements Inn, London. There is no publishing date, but these books date from around 1900.

This is a super scarce publishing. It is called The Broadstairs Edition. There were only 250 sets of these books made and this is from set number 17! An extremely desirable, very low number from this Limited Edition set!!!

The books have full page illustrations by well-known artists. The illustrated pages are protected by captioned tissue guards. The illustrated frontispieces are in color and are outstanding!

Books are three quarter leather-bound with leather tips. The spines have raised bands with gold lettering and gold designs. Covers are securely attached with no cracking or splitting of hinges/gutters. The spines have evenly sun-faded to a pleasant light brown color. All pages are very clean and tightly bound. Top edge of pages has gilt edge. Have decorative green endpages which are card stock. Books show some gentle wear and remain in very good condition.

This is quite a rare publishing!
