USSR Pocket Chess and Checkers Set, 

made in 1990s at Kiev Plastmas Factory. 

Condition: like new

The production date is not indicated. 

But the the symbol on the left upper conner was typical for 1990s of this factory. 

This edition was devoted to chess game. 

And you can see chess figures on the top of the box. 

Kiev has more than 1500 years history and was one of the most developed cultural and industrial center of former USSR.

Road Travel Vintage Soviet Plastic Magnetic Chess set was a must for every kid and youth for Soviet times.  

As well they were popular among adults during traveling by train or bus. 

This chess set has been kepted in very good condition, near new. And this gives the rarity to this set. 

The pieces has almost the same like new color. 

The board in a very good new condition but has some little yelowness due to time. But it makes this set even better by feeling the about 50 years life time of this excellent set. There is a little scatch on the black back side of the the chess board. 

In our time of gadgets and plenty of monitors the travel chess .could give the hobby of the game and the training of thinking free from pixels.

As well it is a unique vintage set could be a nice present or part of decore.
