Masterpiece Tube Radio
This listing is for a vintage Freshman Masterpiece tube radio in a custom cabinet. The original radio was bypassed with a 1960's era tube radio. In addition, the knobs appear to be a different size than the original decals.
THIS UNIT IS UNTESTED. I have never plugged the unit in. Even if I did, I don't have an appropriate speaker for it. The Freshman Masterpiece hardware has certainly has not been used in years. There is at least one broken socket and some broken wiring so some repair will be necessary to use it. The "irreplaceable" hardware (like coils) looks to be in fine condition. A bunch of tubes are included such some very old W.L Co. Radiotrons. None are tested and some may be leaking air.
The custom cabinet is in good condition with some nicks, marks, and residue in various places, particularly on the lid.

SHIPPING NOTE: BY DEFAULT, I AM OFFERING LOCAL PICK-UP IN A PUBLIC LOCATION IN MUNDELEIN, ILLINOIS ONLY. This is due to the messy implementation of the modification. I don't trust that it would survive a proper shipping. I can attempt to ship (to the continental USA) if you accept these risks. Please contact me if so. Shipping will be expensive. Sorry, I will not separate the tubes from the unit.
