1800s - most likely 1850 - 78 Victorian Black Transferware Chinoiserie Jug Pitcher Staffordshire Tea House, Canton pattern

Rare Transferware pitcher - i believe this is Staffordshire based on the specks in the clay, shape of pitcher and the chop mark on the base - two numbers or marks stamped in the clay. This is an unmarked piece. This pattern of transferware has several names: Canton, Tea House or Chinese Pattern. It has also been manufactured by several British and Dutch companies: Bates and Walker, Gildea and Walker, Ashworth, P Ragout & Co Maasterict. 

Measures: 6.25" tall 

Condition - Crack in the glaze in the inside, black specks in the clay, small dents in the clay on the base. See photos. Stamped number in clay
