In the late 1940s and into the 1950s, Monarch Foods used Luke the Lion and Lucy the little girl in their advertising.  A series of glasses were produced with Luke and Lucy in various activities.  The characters on this glass are at the lake and Luke has a lemonade stand. 

This glass measures 5 1/4 inches tall and has a maroon pyro graphic design with a Summer Fun theme. Lucy is taking off her shoes so she can dip her feet in the pond where everyone else is already taking a cool dip, and Luke the Lion has a lemonade stand set up to help everyone stay refreshed!The burgundy paint finish is in good condition
