``Piano Man'' is an important career work in 1973 that not only defined Piano Man as Billy Joel, but also established the term ``Piano Man'' as a piano-based singer-songwriter.
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of its release, the world's first SACD version of the Quadraphonic LP not yet released in Japan has been realized! The 4ch SACD layer is a high-quality surround mix obtained by DSD mastering the Quadra LP analog 4ch mix master sound source for the first time at Sony Music Studio in Japan.
The 2ch SACD layer is a high-quality stereo mix that has been newly DSD mastered from an analog 2ch mix master sound source, and the CD layer is a new mastered sound source that has been converted from the SACD DSD master to PCM.
In addition, DISC 2 (high quality Blu-spec CD 2 specification) includes many unreleased demos and rare live recordings from the ``Piano Man'' period, including 7 songs released on CD for the first time in the world.
The DVD of DISC3 includes valuable live/MV footage, including 8 songs that were released on DVD for the first time in the world.
In addition, this fan-coveted edition includes a wealth of valuable memorabilia, such as the 1973 US press kit, the 7-inch single jacket for the Japanese version of "Piano Man", and replicas of the four Japanese LP bands! (with lyrics, translation, and explanation)
