Barbie was so ship shape in her nautical Cruise Stripes outfit! This fitted dress was available from 1959-62, and the TM tagged version was also sold as part of Barbie's rare Roman Holiday outfit. This outfit is in Near Mint and Complete condition and consists of the dress on a clear plastic dress form, white vinyl belt, and black Japan marked mules. This is a vintage Mattel outfit and is not a reproduction.
I don't rate anything as "Mint" unless I have just
taken it out of the original packaging. I have collected vintage Barbie
for over 30 years, and I scrutinize the items I sell on eBay. If you

The dress is clean, and the striped bodice looks great. Please note that my photo lighting highlighted some specks of dust on the front of the skirt. These specks brushed off & the outfit is clean. The vintage YKK zipper at the dress back works well. The dress has a BarbieR tag sewn in the lower back skirt seam. The white vinyl belt looks good with its belt loop, and the belt has stayed white with no discoloration. There is an extra poke mark on the belt, but it's not a full-fledged hole, see pic #3. Also there is tiny speck on the end of the belt, but you won't notice unless you look super close. The black open toe mules are marked Japan on the bottom of one shoe, and they don't have any splits.
