Radio Shack sold a number of interesting mini-amplifiers from 1969-1980. A few were exceptional and many were quite decent. The SA-155 was a later design (1994) that was produced under 3 brand names for the next ten years. This listing is for the Optimus branding which was used between 1995-2000.

The performance of this mini-amplfier surprised many users, given its low price ( $59.00) and Chinese manufacture : "More competent than it seems at first glance," "no complaints- I've enjoyed using this modest amp,"a wonderful little unit that is, amazing for its low power... great music for very little money,"great little amp... its sound is always a pleasant surprise."

THIS OFFERING IS FOR THE REALISTIC SA-155 AMPLIFIER WITH A PAIR OF MINIMUS 0.5 SPEAKERS.

The amplifier's pleasing shaped response will drive many small speakers, including small two-ways like the Minimus 7 and Minimus 26. For this listing we kept it simple, inexpensive and super compact. The Minimus 0.5 speakers boast a 4" speaker in a sealed cabinet that measures 7.5" x 4.5" x 4.25". The amplifier is 9.25" x 7" x 2".

A decent sounding, fit-anywhere system with a nice array of inputs for a very minimal price. While not a classic look, it is a reasonably attractive system that can fill a variety of needs around the home.
