Joachim Lafosse co-writes and directs this drama based on real events. The film follows members of a French charity organisation as they travel to Chad looking to take advantage of the growing overseas adoption trade. Led by Jacques Arnault (Vincent Lindon), the charity workers aim to trick village chiefs in Chad into giving up local orphaned children in exchange for money, with a plane ready to take them back to France to live with new families. However, with the operation in progress, the presence of journalist Fran�oise Dubois (Val�rie Donzelli) begins to cause tension within the group.
