The Casio PB-700 Pocket Computer is a vintage calculator that is a must-have for collectors and enthusiasts. Made in Japan, this retro gadget features a compact design and is in excellent condition.

Initially launched in 1983, this pocket computer from Casio uses BASIC as programming language, with a standard 4KB memory (about 2.9KB usable memory). As you can see, the OR-4 memory card slots are available to increase the memory to a maximum of 16KB. Although very rare, some of these cards are available for sale on eBay, at the time of posting this listing.

This calculator was a favourite for engineers, financial analysts  and land surveyors, among others, because of its capabilities for fast resolution of complex calculations. Many examples of such programs, as well as games, astronomy and mathematical programs can still be found online.

This particular item shows some signs of wear, but it is in good shape, despite its usage and age. All its functions, keys and display, including sound, have been tested operational.

Please note that the bottom right area of the screen shows a few lines of weak pixels. As you can see in the last three photos, the characters are still clearly readable, despite such weak pixel spots. The contrast wheel helps to counteract the weakness even further.

The calculator requires 4 AA 1.5V batteries (not included).
