1985 Bessie Pease Gutmann "Friendly Enemies" Story Mug features a little girl with holding a kitten in one arm and a puppy in the other. The poem on the back reads: It's often been shown that cats and dogs / Like to play and tease / But with lots of love and tasty treats / They're friendly enemies.
