About the Author:
Maurice Bernard Sendak (June 10, 1928 – May 8, 2012) was an acclaimed American illustrator and writer of children's books. He became widely known for his book Where the Wild Things Are first published in 1963. He received many awards for his works, including the National Book Award (Picture Books) for Outside Over There in 1982.

About the Story:
Outside Over There is a picture book for children. It concerns a young girl named Ida, who must rescue her baby sister after the child has been stolen by goblinsOutside Over There has been described by Sendak as part of a type of trilogy based on psychological development from In the Night Kitchen  (toddler) to Where the Wild Things Are (pre-school) to Outside Over There (pre-adolescent).


Good overall for its age. Cover, binding and all pages are intact. No inscriptions. Pages are generally very neat. Cover has crease to bottom corner on back, small crease top corners, and general shelf wear. Please see all photos.
