This fantastic vintage rust-colored sweater with leather laces most likely dates to the 60s or 70s. This would be perfect for a fantasy cosplay, Ren Fair costume, or regular wear. Lord of the Rings and Robin Hood immediately come to mind!

The sweater is knit from a blend of 75% lambs wool and 25% Shetland wool and includes a rib-knit collar and cuffs, as well as side vents.

The size tag reads (men’s) medium, and I believe that this would best fit a modern men’s or women’s

medium, or a more fitted modern large or x-large. However, please refer to the flat lay measurements below.

Shoulders: 18.5 laced completely to app. 20.5in plus laced more loosely

Chest: 21.5in to app. 23in

Waist: 19in to app. 21in

Length: app. 26.5in

This sweater is in great vintage condition! There issues I found were minor; there is some wear to the faux black suede, some darkening to the inner collar, small pull/partial thread break on the back of one sleeve. I don’t believe that these issues greatly affect appearance or wearability! There is a vintage wool/mothball scent but I don’t think it is overpowering.
