***One Flint and Steel Firesteel Fire Striker with a very good size English flint rock at least 3" in length (or longer). Flint rock will either be a dark as shown or lighter gray in color. Includes a little extra free item. Terrific for hiking, camping, professional guides, or any outdoor enthusiast. This steel striker produces great sparks when used with sharp flint. I usually knap the edges of the flint, making certain I get good sparks. Flipping the rock upside down at times can really expose more sharp edges. I advise turning it often and to occasionally give some edges a light sharpening with the steel handle turned with the open space. There is a short sharpening video my .net website shown on my business card you receive when you get the order.

This striker was heat treated in a professional heat treat oven, and I have also checked its quality with a toolroom diamond hardness test machine.
