Here is the custom made abbasaudio DAC 0.11SE with the tube single ended output  stage, in a metal housing with the black front panel.  AC: 230v  or 115v, pre order.

 The final product may differ from the photo, as this is a small-scale production.

 The photo shows an acrylic front panel, but now we use only wooden ones covered with black varhish.

The TDA1543 is a very  famous chip. But its implementation causes certain difficulties. We made several attempts to create an inexpensive but good-sounding device based on this chip (DAC0.1, DACZ) and eventually came up with a number of unusual technical solutions.

 

As far as I know, before that, there was no DAC model on the market that would use a rectifier tube in the digital section.  We do it.

 

Attention! We do not use the mute output relay! The device requires warming up for three minutes, at this time various unpleasent sounds are possible, keep the volume at a minimum! Further, the device can be kept on around the clock.

 

The tube rectifier gives you an extra degree of freedom in customizing your sound. Needless to say, being powered by a tube rectifier makes the sound smoother, more fluid, and closer to vynil.

 

 Output stage contains 6N6P with EZ90 valve in power section.

Power cord is not included!

 

We dont use modern high-end ultra pure copper or silver wires inside DAC.We used only an old vintage copper wires taken from klangfilm ,telefunken,siemens sound equipment. Stranded wires are composed of different varieties of copper strings on a certain principle that leads to the device's ability to transmit the subtlest musical nuances.

We believe that it is the only way to recover the lost life in the recorded music.

7. There was used a special pnp I/U convertor  based on the low noise germanium transistor. As a consequence of this fact, an excellent reproduction of quiet sounds,at -60..-80db level.

What should you do?

 

1. Install all valves.

2. Switch on the device. The blue LED on the front panel will light up

3. After two minutes, the red LED will turn on. This is a high voltage indicator. The device is ready for use.

4. There is another red LED inside, which is an indicator of the flow rate difference.

No spdif stream - the LED  turns on

 

 

In order to get the best performance from your audio system, you should try different 5687 and 6X5  tubes:  mullard, GEC, RCA, tungsol, philips, telefunken.

 

The unit is also very sensitive to cables- power, interlink, spdif. If you are in doubt which cables to choose you can order it from me.
